    Seasonal specials

    Most of what we cook doesn't live on the printed menu. Specials change every service — daily in the fish season, weekly through game, and twice a day in asparagus fortnight.

    What's in right now

    • Spring — Sussex asparagus, wild garlic, new-season lamb.
    • Summer — Shoreham day-boat fish, kitchen-garden salads, first courgettes.
    • Autumn — local game, wild mushrooms, Sussex venison when available.
    • Winter — slow braises, root vegetables, hearty homemade soups.
